We are delighted to announce that isoenergy has been commissioned to install a 120kW heat pump system as part of a bivalent energy scheme at the National Trust property, The Vyne near Basingstoke.

The system is designed to provide heating to both the Brewhouse Café and the main mansion house, The Vyne. Energy for the heat pumps is to be collected from a lake in the grounds using lake loop collectors. This energy is then transported to the heat pumps which will be in a plantroom remote to both buildings. Heating will then travel down pre-insulated pipes to serve the buildings.

Inside the mansion, a single gas boiler will be retained to provide top-up to the heating system during the colder part of the year, if required. isoenergy will also be upgrading some of the radiators as part of the project.  Work on the plantroom preparation has already started with work on the groundworks to start in the coming weeks.

Apart from isoenergy highly skilled engineering staff, there will be two subcontractors used on site for the related specialist works. Both Leggat Plant Ltd and A.D Broughton will be working on the groundworks and gas work respectively as part of a team that have already worked together to produce multiple high-quality heat pump installations across the country.

More updates will follow in due course, but you can also read the National Trust blog about the project.
