The fact that this property was a new-build meant that installing an in-roof system could be integrated during the build. As the property is well-insulated, a small air source unit was sufficient.

Specification

A 10.5 kW air source heat pump provides heating and hot water to the property. This means that the house has substantially reduced running costs compared to oil or LPG.

An in-roof solar thermal was integrated to the pitched green roof of the garage and contributes to the hot water.

This East Sussex House is a residential property in rural Sussex. The owners were keen to minimise the property's long-term running costs and their carbon footprint.
