isoenergy installed a new heat pump that was appropriately sized for heating load and the available collector array. All pipes have now been ripped out and new plumbing installed. The system now works as expected and the building can turn off the electric convection heaters they had been relying on.
A bit of a mess really
In our experience it is best not to leave wires dangling around or leave exposed circuits on installations. Not to mention the missing pipe lagging and the fact the heat pumps had not worked correctly since it was "commissioned". This site unfortunately needed an entirely new plantroom installation. Because of the poor installation and a vastly undersized collector array, these heat pumps had given up completely.
