isoAIR was contacted by the new owners of this detached, period Cotswold stone house, to recommend a renewable solution to replace the oil boiler system.
Having completed a detailed heat loss calculation and emitter assessment, isoAIR recommended a 16kW CTC air source heat pump with 300L hot water cylinder and 200L heating buffer tank. The heat pump plant room equipment was installed in an outbuilding. isoAIR specified and installed two pre-insulated distribution pipes to link this equipment back to the main house.
The air source heat pump at Rivendell is a prime example of how a period building can be comfortably and efficiently heated by an air source heat pump. The client has significantly reduced their long-term running costs and carbon emissions reduction is over 80%.
