Cae’r March in Snowdonia National Park, is a fifteenth century Grade II Listed medieval house. The property is in a very remote location and our client wanted to come away from the oil central heating and the difficulty of deliveries.
isoenergy recommended a 22kW Ecoforest ground source heat pump connection to an 800L hot water cylinder and 300L buffer tank. In the grounds, Synergy Boreholes drilled five 124m boreholes. The site had very difficult access so isoenergy had to carefully prepare a logistics plan to ensure the drilling rig and all deliveries could get to the property.
The plant room is set within an outbuilding and was connected back to the main house using pre-insulated distribution pipework. The heat pump is designed to provide a complete heating and hot water solution throughout the year proving yet again that a well-designed heat pump system can heat any type of building, regardless of age or insulation standards.
Key features:
- 5-22kW Ecoforest ground source heat pump
- Cordivari Puffer 300L buffer tank
- 800L hot water tank
