The owners of this house were previously heating their home and hot water by oil-fired boilers. After contacting isoenergy the owners had learnt that a renewable heat pump can fulfil the same role as an oil boiler, but with a lower carbon emission footprint and lower running costs.

isoenergy designed and installed the best suited ground source heat pump system to help the clients transition to a greener future. The nearby land of the property enabled isoenergy to install a 1,400m horizontal ground array to collect energy from the natural heat in the ground. The plant room was equipped with a 22kW Ecoforest heat pump system, 800L hot water tank and a 500L heating buffer tank.

The owners will now benefit from a 70% reduction in their home carbon emissions footprint, helping to reduce the UKs overall emissions in which 20% comes from households.
