isoenergy has started work at an impressive new-build project in the Cotswolds. Working with Hamish & Lyons Architects and Qoda Consulting, isoenergy was asked to design and install a heat pump system to provide a total heating and hot water solution.

Having liaised with Qoda regarding the building's heating and hot water requirements, isoenergy set about advising on the size of the lake surrounding the house in order to ensure the volume of water was sufficient for the energy needs of the building.

We have specified an 8kW CTC water source heat pump system with 300L hot water cylinder and buffer tank. In the lake we have three 100 meter lake loops submerged in the bed of the lake. The system will cost significantly less to run than the alternative fossil fuel system and the carbon reduction will be over 70% ensuring the building is completely futureproofed against incoming building regulations and carbon taxes.

Look out for more updates on this exciting project as work continues.
