The plantroom has been fitted out with the two 100kW Ecoforest ground source heat pumps, hot water cylinder and buffer tank. With all the major components in place, we are now waiting for the Estate’s plumbing team to finish the heating distribution before connecting the two together.
Progress on the collector array has also been made. The existing natural pools have been adapted to accept the EnergyBlades. A set of five EnergyBlades has been installed in the larger of the two pools. The set of two due to be installed in the upper pool are ready to be installed, but we need to wait for the current rainwaters to subside and make the area safe for our engineers.
Both manifolds for the two arrays have been installed and the system has been pressure tested ready for final connection of the last two EnergyBlades.
The next steps in the project will be to commission the system once everything else is in place.
