Last month we launched our manufacturer showcase series where we detail the benefits of the various manufacturers that are part of isoenergy’s product portfolio. This time we focus on CTC which is part of the wider Enertech Group now owned by Nibe.

As we are not tied to a particular manufacturer, we can utilise the best heat pump system for each individual project. We take into account the client’s needs and wishes, the requirements of the building and the technical performance of the heat pump in different scenarios to ensure we select the right heat pump for the right job.

One of the heat pump brands we install regularly is CTC. CTC is a Swedish manufacturer that has been designing and manufacturing heating products for over 90 years. They provide a range of products including air and ground source heat pumps, biomass boilers and solar thermal panels and are popular with our clients due to their intelligent controls and reliability.

The CTC air source heat pump range is of an exceptional quality and, being a Scandinavian company, are designed to operate efficiently and effectively in the very coldest of winters. Their air source heat pumps feature a large evaporator with a well-balanced heat extraction ratio to optimise efficiency in UK climates. The inverter driven units are also some of the quietest on the market to ensure that noise emission levels are met should this be a requirement.

Further up the project range is the 22kW CTC air source heat pump. This is a three-phase unit which allows larger buildings, that do not or cannot install a ground source heat pump, to go green. These units can be cascaded, meaning bigger heat demands can still be met efficiently, throughout the year.

A similar approach can be taken with the CTC ground source heat pumps with the product range starting at 6kW and going right up to 34kW. The smaller units can be designed to incorporate a domestic hot water cylinder if space is at a premium, the larger units can be cascaded to meet higher heat demands. The cascading of units also provides some security in the unlikely event of a compressor failing as the heat pumps are made up of multiple compressors rather than one large inverter driven compressor.

Another popular CTC product is the EcoZenith, this allows multiple heat sources to be connected into the same thermal store. This thermal store can provide a property’s heating and hot water, it can also be controlled to provide swimming pool water heating, borehole recharging or even cooling. The CTC Connect+ App also allows remote access meaning you switch the heating in your home on or off from any internet connection in the world.

If you would like to see if a CTC system is best for your project please do get in touch.
