The UK government has set a target to be net zero carbon emission by 2050. This will be achieved by reducing the CO2 we produce within industry, transport and power generation including increasing uptake in renewable electricity generation and decentralising energy production.

Renewable electricity already accounts for around 30% of the electrical generation in the UK. However, it is not just large off-shore windfarms that make a difference to carbon emissions, but the multitude of small micro-generation schemes like solar panels. Added together, they contribute to a large proportion of this figure.

There are however, large areas of existing buildings that are underutilised for energy production, particularly the millions of hectares of empty roof spaces on commercial buildings that could be used to generated electricity with solar panels.

If you own your commercial building, it makes sense to install solar panels on the roof to generate free electricity for your business to use and to do your part to cut carbon emissions. Making your roof space work for you does not have to be a complicated endeavor, at isoenergy we can assist by designing and installing your solar array. We will discuss with you and determine exactly what you would require to reduce your electricity bills and will guide you through the process.

Even if you have previously considered solar panels for your business but decided against it, please get in touch so we can provide you with a fresh proposal with the latest technology that can make your roof work for you.
