Church Farmhouse is a Grade II Listed house built in the 17th century in Oxfordshire. The new owners asked isoenergy to design and install a ground source heat pump system to provide heating and hot water to the main house, annex and games room within the grounds.

isoenergy specified a 30kW CTC ground source heat pump with a 500 litre hot water tank and a 500 litre buffer tank. The energy for the heat pump is collected from 1,700 meters of horizontal array pipework buried in the paddock and linked to the plant room via 170 meters of flow and return pipework.

To connect the plant room to the annex and games room, isoenergy buried Uponor Quattro pre-insulated distribution pipework through which heating and hot water could be provided.

The owners of Church Farmhouse can expect a significant reduction in running costs vs the previous oil system and a carbon reduction of over 70%.
