Almost a year since project kick-off, work is nearing completion at the Royal Alexander and Albert school near Reigate to install heat pumps to provide heating and hot water for 18 buildings on the extensive site.

Synergy Boreholes, our drilling partner on the project, has now completed the last borehole and work is underway connecting them all together. The lake loop collector, consisting of around 20km of pipe, has been finished since the summer and is already proving energy to several of the completed boarding house plantrooms. A second borehole array for one of the boarding houses was also completed last month.

The dining hall is also up and running providing all the heating and hot water for the busy school kitchens. For the main school building and dedicated external plantroom was commissioned from Fibaform and was erected last week. Work is scheduled to start fitting the building out with the Viessmann heat pumps and tanks this week.
