Wiggold Farm is an old Cotswold farmhouse in the Gloucestershire countryside. Until recently, the farmhouse relied on oil and electric immersion heaters. Using Hitachi's market-leading Yutaki air-source heat pump, isoenergy were able to design a system which provided a year-round solution to the end user and significantly reducing the running costs of the property. The new system, which seamlessly integrates the client's existing solar thermal system, will improve the comfort levels within the building and qualifies for Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) payments.

The farmhouse was in need of a new heating system, but already had a relatively recently-installed rooftop solar thermal system. isoenergy was asked to design a heating system which incorporated the existing solar thermal system and provided reliable year-round heating and hot water.

A 16kW Hitachi Yutaki air-source heat pump system heats the building and provides hot water.
