The Old Barn is a period barn which has been converted into a residential property perched in the corner of an idyllic village. The barn was undergoing a large scale refurbishment and approached isoenergy to provide a heating and hot water solution. The compact pumps provide consistent, reliable heating and hot water whilst only taking up a few metres of garden space. We understand that the attractive silver heat pumps have become a talking point and interesting feature of the garden, also being complimented for their quiet running.
The nature of the site meant that there was not enough space for a ground source heat pump. A system with air source heat pumps was designed.
Two 11 kW air source heat pumps provide for all heating and hot water requirements in the Old Barn. Slimline tanks were used to fit into the limited space available in the loft.
