Since the Government’s feed-in-tariff closed to new applicants, there has been little incentive to install solar PV unless you can make use of all the electricity it generates. To fill that gap, as of 1st January 2020 any supplier of electricity that has more than 150,000 domestic customers must provide a Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) tariff.
