We are delighted to announce the Linney Group have decided to select isoenergy for the installation of their new biomass system.

The printing company based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire is to benefit from a 950kW wood chip biomass heating system providing heating to some areas of their picking, packing and warehouse facilities.

Linney provide printed material for such brands as Boots, Pizza Express and McDonald’s

Linney have commitment to reduce their carbon footprint and improve the efficiency of their buildings.

The new boiler will be installed in a new purpose built building that will also incorporate a new 2 bay fuel store that will have the capacity to hold 45 tonnes of fuel.

The fuel is fed to the boiler using a walking floor feed system.

The 950kW boiler will serve the main warehouse which covers 7500 square metres.

The total building heat load is approximately 1700kW and the biomass boiler will be the lead heat source with support heat provided by gas radiant heaters.

The heating will be provided via warm air heater units with de-stratification units to ensure efficient circulation of the heat within the buildings.

The boiler will use approximately 7 tonnes of fuel per day at peak load. This will mean a fuel delivery to the site every 3-4 days.

The wood chip fuel will be sourced from sustainable sources and the Linney Group are looking to work with local suppliers.
