isoenergy was delighted to join the Country Land Association yesterday in hosting an open day at Pusey House in Oxfordshire.

Pusey House, a beautiful Grade II Listed Building, is heated by 280kW of ground source heat pump installed by isoenergy in 2016. As the estate is heated using a district heating scheme, Pusey House offered an opportune setting to show interested members of the CLA exactly what is involved in renewable energy and ground source heat pump projects.

The day started with a welcome by Robin Edwards, Director of CLA South East and an overview of the system by the owner of Pusey House. Justin Broadbent, Chairman of Isoenergy, then gave an overview of the renewable energy market in the UK, the current state of Government tariffs and a brief technical overview of the different technologies offered by isoenergy. This was followed by a presentation on the system installed at Pusey House by Edward Levien who ran through the background of how isoenergy became involved in the project, an overview of what was originally considered and the reasons why a ground source heat pump system was ultimately installed.

Finally the attendees split into two groups for a detailed tour of the plant room and a walkover of the ground array with the opportunity to ask questions at all points.
