Maintaining a steady temperature is important when refurbishing 300 year old violins, so the client was looking to install a weather-compensated ground source heat pump system to provide spatial heating.
A 17 kW ground source heat pump is connected to a ground array of three boreholes in the yard and driveway. The system uses weather compensation to maintain a steady temperature indoors throughout the year.A 3.7 kW solar photovoltaic system was installed on the workshop roof to help reduce the running costs of the new heat pump system.
